The Council of The Reiki Association is delighted to announce that Phyllis Lei Furumoto, Lineage Bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho, has accepted our invitation to join us for your 21st Birthday celebration Gathering to take place over the weekend of 20th -22nd April 2012.The Birthday Gathering will mark the 21 years since The Reiki Association was founded and the energy will mainly be one of celebration, with some reflection on the many changes that the organisation has undergone during its lifetime. With story and song, dancing and of course Reiki, this will be a time to meet old friends and make new ones in a lovely setting.

In May 2012 The Reiki Association will host Phyllis Lei Furumoto, Lineage Bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho, when she presentst the "Sanctuary of Reiki" seminar.
Sanctuary: a place of refuge and protection. The practice of Reiki leads us to discover this place. It exists along side the deep feeling of "home" that comes with the initiations. We enter this inner space with the sense of being comforted. When experienced in a group of Reiki students, this feeling of sanctuary becomes substantial, unforgettable, ever present. This is an invitation to step into sanctuary with others, increasing the capacity to hold humanity with compassion. To suit this focus, we have booked Croydon Hall, a beautiful retreat centre situated in the Somerset countryside.
