Terms and Conditions for submitting images to The Reiki Association

Please note:

1. The Reiki Association reserves the right to refuse photos, artwork and images without explanation to the sender.

2. Senders should be aware that images may need to be resized, cropped, adjusted in colour and contrast and otherwise amended to suit publication and senders are deemed to have agreed to these amendments when making the donation.

3. All digital photos and images sent to the gallery are accepted on the basis that they are offered free of charge by the sender, regardless of whether subsequently published by The Reiki Association or not, and regardless of frequency of publication.

4. COPYRIGHT: Donors who have copyright of the images they donate to us, will, by the act of sending to our photo albums, thereby agree to share any such copyrights with Reiki Association to allow us to freely publish the images. Publishing may be in digital or printed format and may include magazines, literature, leaflets and websites, or the posting of images at workshops and exhibitions. Donors who do not hold the copyright of images must state this clearly. Wherever possible the donors should provide the details of the copyright holders, or otherwise state they are unknown. The Reiki Association will hold the donor responsible for all issues or payments due connected with the use of the images where ownership by others has not been made clear, or donors have passed off the images as their own. Unless photos have been commercially published before, it should mean that any photo you have taken will be your copyright.

5. PERMISSIONS: If the photos have clear images of people it is often preferable to have the permission of those being photographed, although if the event is a public one, no permission is normally required. At TRA gatherings and events, it is usually stated at the outset that photos may be taken and used for publication, and anyone who objects must indicate.
